count coins with kids for fun
When I read this most excellent chart, http://www.coinflation.com/silver_coin_values.html I formed a good idea for activity with my little son.
Last night we got out his piggy bank and looked for pre 65 silver coinage. We actually only found five 64 nickels, but those apparently dont have silver content. But we did find, four Kennedy halves which were 40%. Most rewarding! For fun we broke out the silver polish, and shined em up, put em in a plastic bag and tossed em in the silver stash. Thanks to GIM for this fun and rewarding information which lead to a most enjoyable activity with my little son. |

You know, I don't know what it is with kids, but most love playing with or counting coins. I remember when I was little, I used to bug my grandpa to play with his coin collection every time we visited. They just fascinated me. I also gave a SAE to one of my wife's little cousins Sunday for his fifth birthday. He just loved it. |

I found a bunch of Euro coins too. Looks like about 6 E worth or so. Maybe that will be enough to change next time I swing through an airport.
